Clothing should be comfortable and cool, with perhaps a light jacket or sweater for cool evenings. Normal resort wear is appropriate at the hotel, but bathing suits and short shorts are out of place in Papeete. Shorts and shirts, and comfortable dresses or skirts are appropriate at most restaurants in the evenings, but it is suggested that men wear slacks to fine dining restaurants. (When you enjoy fine dining at Sheraton Hotels, men may wear shorts, but please, no tank tops in the evening.) Jackets and ties are not required anywhere in this tropical paradise.
Sheraton guests may exchange their foreign currency at no charge, with a daily limit of $50.00 per adult. Bank exchange rates will be posted.
International bank branch offices in French Polynesia do not normally charge a commission for the exchange of French francs, but may charge for other currency and travelers checks.
Tipping is not expected in Tahiti and Her Islands
